  2. They share some great ideas but that solution for neck pain will make a lot of neurosurgeons wealthy, since positioning the head up on a pillow bends the cervical spine. Long story short: the nerves get irritated so the neck pain continues, and the stress on the squishy “disks” between the vertebrae causes them to herniate, which can cause them to rupture. It’s better to train your body to sleep without a pillow, and to just use a neck roll (or rolled up towel that’s not too thick nor too thin) placed under the little arch in your neck, near your hairline.
    If you have neck or back pain that interferes with your sleep, please see a doctor. ❤️
